Delete my account

This page applies to the GPSFun Location Assistant Android app (com.kapa999.gpsfun) and the GPSFun service. Open this page in a browser, sign in, and follow the on-screen instructions to delete your GPSFun account yourself. You do not need to install or reinstall the app. This does not delete your Google or Gmail account.

Account deletion permanently removes your GPSFun sign-in identity, profile, personal locations, member photos and messages across activities, and invalidates existing Web and app credentials. In activities hosted by someone else, only your membership and personal activity data are removed; shared covers and meeting points remain without your account attribution. If every activity you host has ended, those hosted activities and all data belonging to them are permanently deleted. Failed file removals are retried. This cannot be undone.

Necessary order, payment, refund records and the payment email (including Gmail) are retained separately from your account for reconciliation, refunds, disputes and legal obligations. Transaction identity data is retained for five years after the relevant annual accounting closing procedure is completed, and longer only where legally required or necessary for an unresolved dispute. The retained email is removed after the retention period when no extension applies. Accounting books and financial statements are retained separately under applicable law. Access is restricted to authorized transaction handling, not sign-in or marketing.

You cannot delete your account while any activity you host is upcoming or ongoing. GPSFun does not support host transfer. Once every activity you host has ended, deleting your account also permanently deletes those activities and all member data stored under them. A protected activity must first be unprotected by a platform administrator.
